  A Bold, powerful stance tells you All New Discovery 3 is ready for anything. Every line on its body is there for a reason. Strong horizontals and verticals combine with a short front over-hang to produce a vehicle with a distinctive, uncompromising look that hints at it's impressive capabilities.

• Your Personal Expert
  Terrain Response (TM) optimises drivability and comfort, as well as maximising traction. Five different terrain settings can be selected via a rotary switchon the centre console: a general driving program, plus one for slippery conditions (known as grass / gravel / snow) and three special off-road modes (mud/ruts, sand, rock crawl).

  Terrain Response (TM) then automatically selects the most appropriate settings for the vehicle's advanced electronic controls and traction aids - including ride height, engine torque response, hill descent control, electronic traction control and transmission settings.

• 7 Seats To Go
  Flexible, versatile seating takes on a new meaning in All New Discovery 3. It's seven adult seats can be configured in numerous ways without having to remove any of them. For instance, because its second row of seats can be split three ways, you can fold the outer seats away completely and turn the centre seats in a table. This gives the two rear passengers an enormous amount of room with a central table surface that all can make use of.

• Discovery 3 S
  With 17" alloy wheels, power adjustable + heated exterior mirrors, halogen headlights, 5 seats with 65:35 split folding second row, cruise control, dynamic stability control, active roll mitigation and remote central locking, you could be forgiven for thinking this comfortable five-seater was a top of the range model. Available as V6 or TDV6.

• Discovery 3 SE
  Builds on the already impressive specification of Discovery 3 S. It boasts a long list of further desirable features which includes automatic climate control, 7 seats, 18" alloy wheels, electronic air suspension with Terrain Response and trip computer. Available as V6, TDV6 or V8.

• Discovery 3 HSE
  Has the specification to tempt those who demand the best in every sphere. Its bold stance is enhanced by 19" alloy wheels, front fog lamps and roof rails while its interior is light and airy with leather upholstery + gear knob, 8-way electric driver seat and 6 stack CD player. Available as TDV6 or V8.

  With its familiar stepped roofline and clean, purposeful styling, Discovery 3 looks highly capable. Features like its clever, practical asymmetric tailgate and strong horizontals and verticals combine to produce a vehicle with a distinctive, uncompromising look that mirrors its impressive capabilities.
  
  Iconic silhouette
  Strikingly clean lines and a characteristic stepped roof clearly reveal Discovery 3´s design DNA. It´s an immediately recognisable iconic shape that is distinctively Discovery and distinctively Land Rover.
  
  Asymmetric tailgate
  Relocating Discovery 3´s spare wheel beneath the floor has enabled us to develop a unique asymmetric tailgate design. This tailgate supplies a major functional benefit as well as adding a bold visual feature. When raised, its low section allows easy access to the contents of the interior, and when the tailgate is lowered it makes it a shorter stretch into the open load area. The longer tailgate portion has a variety of uses too, for instance when heavy luggage needs support, or for arranging an impromptu picnic.
  
  Adaptive headlights
  Discovery 3´s optional Adaptive headlights are able to alter the way their light is cast on the road by responding to vehicle speed, direction and attitude. The powerful Bi-xenon lamps move left, right, up or down in reaction to changes in speed, pitch and steering angle. This ability can be used to counteract the effects of hard braking, for instance, or when turning into bends so that the road surface and any hazards are properly illuminated.
  
  Asymmetric air-induction vent
  Every design feature on Discovery 3 is there for a reason. For instance, we´ve positioned its wing-mounted air-induction vent for optimum engine breathing whilst also being in the best possible position to maximise wading depth. But because just one vent is needed, we´ve added a vent on one side only.
  
  Colours and finishes
  Discovery 3´s body is finished using an advanced and environmentally friendly paint process. Eleven eye-catching colours are available in a number of surface finishes, with recommended trim and body colour combinations supplied by our designers.
  
  
• Interior
  We´ve ensured that Discovery 3´s design is derived from its purpose, our aim being a cabin with maximum useable space and versatility. Up to seven adult seats are arranged stadium-style for optimum forward views and can be configured in numerous ways without the need to remove any of them. Wide-opening rear doors allow easy access to the third row.
  
  Command driving position
  Drivers of Discovery 3 can enjoy all the advantages of the classic Land Rover Command driving position. This places the driver in an elevated position and inspires confident driving thanks to their enhanced view of the road ahead. A clear view of all four corners of the vehicle also contributes to worry-free manoeuvring.
  
  Up to seven adult-sized seats
  Passengers in Discovery 3 can have seven of everything when it comes to comfort and enjoyment on their journey. 7-seat models have seven full-sized adult seats, with the option of air-conditioned air directed towards all seven seats. And there are seven panoramic viewpoints thanks to stadium seating. So now each passenger can relax and enjoy the view ahead.
  
  Electronic park brake
  We´ve equipped Discovery 3 with an electronic park brake, so the days of pulling on a heavy lever are gone for good – just flip a switch and the park brake is applied. The brake is automatically released when you drive away – particularly welcome if you´re carrying a heavy load or towing a trailer.
  
  Highly flexible seating
  Up to seven seats can be configured in numerous ways in Discovery 3 without having to remove any of them.   Completely flat load space
  When the time comes to pack in large amounts of luggage, we´ve designed Discovery 3 to allow both rows of rear seats to fold completely away to reveal a totally flat loading area. This enables heavy luggage to be slid in and out without any obstruction or awkward manoeuvring.
  
  
• Driving technology
  Discovery 3 is available with advanced technology, all designed to make your life simpler. Terrain Response™, for example, is an advanced but user-friendly technology that optimises vehicle drivability and comfort, as well as maximising Traction. Discovery 3´s independent suspension can use optional cross-linked air springs to provide a smooth, level ride over any surface and with any load. And its advanced satellite navigation can take you anywhere from the nearest petrol station to the far side of the world.
